This policy explains how cassettecd uses cookies and similar technologies on play.cassettecd.com, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can accept, decline or withdraw your consent.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your cart and your preferences, keep you signed in, and help the site owner understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as browser storage, which work in much the same way.
2. Cookies we set
These cookies are set by our own site:
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash woocommerce_items_in_cart |
Remember what is in your shopping cart | Session — deleted when you close your browser | Essential |
| wp_woocommerce_session_… | Keeps your cart and checkout session working | 48 hours | Essential |
| wmc_current_currency | Remembers the currency you selected (USD or EUR) | 24 hours | Essential |
| blocksy_cookies_consent_accepted | Records whether you accepted or declined this cookie banner, so that we do not ask you again on every page | Until you clear your cookies or use the “Cookie settings” link | Essential |
| wc_order_attribution_… | Records how you arrived at our site — the referring site, and any campaign, ad or affiliate parameters — together with basic session details, so that we can see which marketing actually works | Short-lived: minutes, or until you close your browser | Analytics |
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It sets the cookies below, and it only stores identifiers on your device where you have accepted them — for visitors in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage is set to denied by default.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes you from other visitors | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_<container ID> | Keeps session state for Google Analytics | Up to 2 years |
We also use WP Statistics, which runs on our own server. It does not set cookies: it records visits on our server with your IP address hashed before storage, and we do not use it to identify you or to build profiles.
4. Cookies set by third parties
Some cookies are set by services that appear on our pages. Each provider also publishes its own cookie and privacy policy, which you can read for full details.
| Provider | Why it is there | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Tawk.to — live chat | Powers the chat widget, remembers your chat session and processes technical details such as your IP address | Set by Tawk.to, typically up to 12 months |
| PayPal — payments | Set when the PayPal buttons or the PayPal card form load on a product or checkout page, to keep the payment flow secure and detect fraud | Set by PayPal — see PayPal’s own cookie policy |
| Cloudflare — security and content delivery | __cf_bm — distinguishes human visitors from automated traffic and keeps the site available during attacks | 30 minutes |
We do not use advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies.
5. How we ask for your consent
- Essential cookies — the cart, checkout, session, currency and consent cookies listed in section 2 — are always active, because the shop cannot work without them.
- Analytics cookies only store identifiers on your device where you have accepted them. For visitors in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics runs with consent mode set to denied by default.
- The live chat widget loads together with the page rather than waiting for your choice. If you would rather it did not load, you can block third-party cookies in your browser settings, or email us and we will help.
6. How to change or withdraw your consent
You can change your mind at any time, and withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it:
- Click “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. This clears your previous choice so that the banner appears again on your next visit.
- Or clear the cookies for this site in your browser settings.
- Or email us at vip@cassettecd.com and we will do it for you.
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew it.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you block all or some cookies, delete cookies when you close the browser, and alert you when a cookie is set. Look for “Privacy” or “Cookies” in your browser settings. Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop the shopping cart or checkout from working.
8. Where cookie data goes
Cookies set by Google Analytics, Tawk.to, PayPal and Cloudflare may transfer data outside your country, including to the United States. Our own processing takes place in China, where our business is based. Our Privacy Policy explains the safeguards we use for international transfers.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one, and the effective date at the top tells you when it last changed.
